Data logging
Data can be automatically logged from various windows into a general purpose log file. Data can be shared from different documents. There can be only log file open at a time. The log file is a spread sheet style view with different number of columns depending on the type of data entered. The columns are adjusted according to the maximum number of columns needed for the operation The unused column entries will be zero. There is virtually an unlimited number of data that can be entered into this file. The log file will be saved as a pure text file, tab delaminated, compatible with EXCEL or similar programs. The saved log file should not be manipulated using any other applications except this application. If you desire further manipulation outside of this application, open the file using your other application and then save a copy , then edit it in the other application.
The Log menu has a number of entries depending on which window you are exporting data. Some are common among different windows.

The log window will have three permanent columns, File name( signal name), entry definition and order and comments. The entry columns will added depending on the data entered.
File name (signal name) column is the name of the signal in the file.
Entry definition and order shows where the data in coming from and with what order the data in shown in the subsequent entry columns.
Entry 1,2,... are the actual data.
Comments is an open text form for you to enter anything you wish.
In the above example, the first entry is a duration measurement and is entered from the main window with order of start time, stop time and duration time. If no window is mentioned in this column , then it refers to the main window. The second entry is data at the marker from main window with order of time , value of channel 1, channel 2, channel 3. The third entry is frequency , FFT value and LPC values, entered from the FFT/LPC window. etc...
